What exactly is fair?

Within this zone, ‘players’ use individual interactive screens where they are presented with a series of short animations of real life scenarios in the workplace.

In a world of take, what do you give back?

This space explains what Giving Something Back really is and demonstrates best practice from some of the Best Companies to Work For.

It incorporates six themed exhibition ‘displays’, each covering a field in which an organisation can Give Something Back:

• Time – offering its people time to make a contribution outside work
• Resources – making facilities available for social or environmental projects
• Financial – donating money to beneficial causes
• Sustainability (Environment) – working towards more environmentally sustainable conduct
• Community – aligning its business needs with the needs of local people for mutual benefit
• Talent (Skills) – directly providing its own talented people to use their skills for wider benefit

Explore the pressures of decision-making

In the Leadership zone, delegates will position themselves around a ‘hands-on’ interactive table with a large screen behind it, where they will be briefed by an on-screen presenter who will guide them through three rounds of ‘game-play’, all against the clock.

Through getting involved, delegates will experience the essence of great leadership: visibility, communication and belief. Participants will be presented with leadership qualities and situations and will be able to question their own leadership skills and the ways in which they are led.

Come Together

Not a factor-based zone but an area for you to come together, explore your experiences and reassess the dynamics of your group. Here you will be encouraged to debate a Primary Purpose for your company, decide on your company's Core Principles, express your Outrageous Ambition and create an Ingenious Plan to realise that ambition.

When does teamwork make it work?

This will be run against a clock with everyone working as a team in the space in order to reveal an image projected onto one of the walls. In four different rounds, teams must find numbers which are hidden in each of the projected images which are then used to open a safe and win a prize. This area will help participants to appreciate that success sometimes comes from a single individual and sometimes from the efforts of the whole team.

Striking a healthy balance

Visitors will enter a contemporary lounge space with a large plasma TV which ‘channel hops’ through a series of programmes covering different aspects of wellbeing. Content will include a wildlife programme using groups of animals as an analogy for issues in the workplace, a voice-over hosted ‘Top 10 worst’ wellbeing stories, a business news channel covering best practice and a sofa interview with workplace wellbeing experts to convey the underlying principles and business benefits of a strong wellbeing policy.

How your company can impact your levels of engagement

The purpose of this zone is to allow visitors to experience the key issues that can cause an employee to become disengaged or engaged by the company that they work for. The experience highlights the impact that internal processes and culture can have on engagement.

My Company will be presented within the confines of a scenic head. Visitors will literally step inside an enclosed and stylised head environment and will then experience how disengagement can occur and what if feels like for the individual.

The narrative will be communicated through audio, visual, lighting and scenic techniques, with experience being told through the experiences of ‘Ed the head’.

Growth requires the right environment

The visitors will enter a poly-tunnel area and view sections of a pre-recorded gardening programme – ‘Growing Me, Growing You’. In between viewing the programme, visitors are given the chance to select, plant and nurture their own real seedlings.

The Personal Growth zone provides an opportunity to reflect. Are you receiving the stimulus you need? Are you progressing in your working life? Ultimately this zone will be an area where visitors can make a promise to themselves - an area to set goals.

Understanding management

The guests will approach a series of seven unique ‘sound coned’ pods. Each pod will have a key item built into the exhibit which will be relevant to the audio sequence that is told in that particular pod.

Each pod will contain an audio story related to a specific key message/Survey question.

As they enter the pod, the audio sequence will be triggered to play. At the end of the sequence the visitor will then move to listen to another sequence until they have completed all seven.

The audio sequences presented within ‘My Manager’ will feature a series of inspirational stories from history that have thought-provoking business parallels. They will be both rewarding and educational.
