THE VISION
‘To create an experiential event where leaders and managers can challenge the reality of their business and inspire them to create a new vision of their future.’
We're Best Companies, the research company behind the highly respected Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list. In 2000 we formed with the purpose of helping to make the world a better workplace.
Our first major milestone in realising this ambition was to introduce companies and employees to ‘Workplace Engagement’. We achieved this by conducting the largest engagement survey in the world. The next step was to help organisations to increase ‘Emotional Engagement’ in their workplace. From this ambition, The Art of Engagement was born.
This is no ordinary event. Set in a purpose-built environment, visitors will discover an interactive employee experience like no other. They'll be challenged and encouraged to explore their own perceptions of engagement in the workplace.
The average person spends around 80,000 hours at work in their lifetime. Imagine what can be achieved if every person is engaged for every one of those hours. Experience The Art of Engagement and find out for yourself.
For 10 years Best Companies has provided the research for The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list using a unique and bespoke methodology based on workplace engagement. We have been developing and refining this methodology over the last decade but it is founded on the belief that to find the best companies we need to ask the people who work there.
Through our substantial research, we've identified 8 main factors that drive workplace engagement:
Leadership
How employees feel about the leadership of their organisation.
Giving something back
Whether employees feel their organisation has a positive impact on society.
My company
How much employees value their company and feel proud to work there.
My team
How employees feel towards their immediate colleagues and how well they work together.
Personal growth
Whether employees feel challenged and if they have the opportunity to develop and advance.
Fair deal
How well employees are treated in terms of pay and benefits.
My manager
How employees feel about and communicate with their direct manager.
Wellbeing
Whether employees have a healthy work/life balance.
